Mixed with exotic Indian spices, savour our Gongura Pickle, which retains the original traditional taste of the South India you miss. It is made of sorrel leaves, which has been used in South-eastern India as a delicacy typical to Telegu cuisine for decades. While sorrel leaves have different names in different regions, their nutritional properties remain the same.
Best Meal Combinations
Spicy and tangy, our Gongura Pickle can make anyone fall in love with it as soon as the lid is opened. It has a distinct taste and is best enjoyed with hot steamed rice and ghee. You can also enjoy it as a side dish for any meal, be it upma, dosa, chapatti, rolls or sandwiches.
How it is Made
By grinding green and fresh gongura leaves into a thick paste, we turn it into a pickle by adding salt and an assortment of spices, including fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, tamarind and chilli powder. It is then seasoned with sesame oil to bring out the authentic Andhra taste of Gongura Pickle. We cool the product at room temperature and pack it in glass jars.
